Welcome to the Watershed Studio Website!
At Watershed Studio we hold a wide variety of art workshops throughout the year. We are very lucky to have such a great team of tutors who teach here and we try to cover most media. We specialise on single and two day courses, priding ourselves on good quality, professional but affordable painting breaks.
Click on About Us to find out more about what is going on at the Watershed and who is involved. Further information can be found under Courses and Tutors. I have added a small gallery of tutors work too to help you get more an idea of the style of individual tutors. All website addresses are listed for those tutors that have them, so you can log on and see more of their work.
APRIL COURSES – Some spaces available still.
Graham Timmins
Contemporary Oil/Acrylics Landscapes
22nd & 23rd April 2008 - £115 including lunches etc
Here is a chance to use the full range of the expressive power of paint and to let your imagination roam free. In this course we start with the basics needed to work in oils(or acrylics) but quickly learn to use the medium to create colour form and texture to advantage in a free and loose manner.
Roger Dellar
Life/Portrait Painting in Oils – Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th April 2008
£125 including lunches, refreshments etc
We have a couple of places that have become available on this course due to a cancellation – this is wonderful opportunity to spend a couple of days of tuition with this very popular tutor with different models on each day.
David Webb
Animal Painting in Watercolour – Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th April 2008 - £115
Over the course of these two days David will show you some really useful techniques on the subject of painting animals from the initial quick drawings to the painting, backgrounds, mixing the colour etc – absolute magic!
Plus
Charles Evans
Oil or Acrylic Painting for the Nervous
Saturday 20th & Sun 21st September 2008 - £115 including lunches, etc
Many students are asking us to provide more acrylic courses so as a slight change to the advertised programme students will now be able to opt to use acrylics instead of oils on Charles course in September. The watersoluble Artesan oils that Charles uses are very similar to acrylics so this mixture of media will pose no problems and allow you to use whichever medium you feel most comfortable with.
