Many of our early courses in 2020, from April to August, have been rescheduled to 2021.

We are hoping that our Autumn programme, starting in September, will run as planned - we're keeping everything crossed!! We are currently taking bookings with the understanding that if restrictions are brought back in we will reschedule to 2021 where possible. Should we need to cancel completely, or if the reschduled date is not suitable for you we will obviously refund your deposits.

We have re-organised the studio to accommodate social distancing between tables, introduced one way systems, installed a massive hand sanitising station and will provide PPE when necessary.

We will not be serving meals in the house for the time being but will still provide lunches and cake etc but in a different way!!

On our workshop you will be using vitreous glass tiles to make a useful and beautiful pot stand, pot, plaque or even house number, which will last for ever.
You will be able to create your own simple design, or use one of the many templates Sue will bring, using your own choice of colours to make a very individual piece of work.
The day will cover all the basic techniques you will need to carry on with more ambitious projects.

Students will be working with air drying clay to produce an animal of their choice. Trevor will bring lots of reference material for you to choose from, for example, pictures of hares, pigs, cats or even meercats etc! This is a great product that dries and hardens without the use of a kiln and is so much fun to use.

Students will learn clay modelling techniques including preparatory sketching, forming an armature, joining clay sections, fine modelling and finishing.

A variety of finishes will then be explored to ensure long term preservation of the work.

On the second day you will be using armatures to create something special for the garden!!
Using new materials and based on Trevor's experience of other successful sculpture courses, you will create your own garden sculpture using a metal armature and resin impregnated material.
The course will take you from forming your idea through to the finished sculpture.
