Watershed Studio

How to find us

How to find us

St Osyth is approx 8 miles east of Colchester and 4 miles west of Clacton on Sea on the north Essex coast.

How to find us

Clacton on Sea is the nearest station from which taxis or buses can be taken to the village.

By Road

From the A12 you need to take the A120, signposted to Harwich, then the A133 turn-off to Clacton.

You will reach a roundabout very shortly and you must ignore the signposts for St Osyth as these will take you westwards towards Frating and Thorrington and this is altogether a much longer route! Instead you take the first left to Frinton, Weeley and Clacton and after a few hundred yards you turn right into Heckfords Road towards Gt Bentley. Cross Gt Bentley Green, the largest village green in England by the way, go over the railway line, through Aingers Green and keep going until to reach the B1027. Turn left here and go past The Creek Restaurant for a mile or so until you see St Osyth signposted to your right.
Turn right into the village, travel along Colchester Road, go across the crossroads with the flow of the traffic, past the store and Post Office. This is now Spring Road. You will have several speed humps to negotiate at this point. When you go over the last one you will find St Clere's Hall Lane to your right with a green sign saying Watershed Studio hanging from it! Take a right up here at the top of the hill, just before the wooden gate posts and fence, you will see another sign directly you right again. You have arrived.

The Studio is generally open early on the mornings when courses are running - do go in if you are early and help yourself to coffee. We live in the adjacent house so I am generally keeping an eye out for new arrivals.
