Watershed Studio

About Us

Since opening in 2001 Watershed has become firmly established as a popular and successful venue for quality art and creative courses. The Studio was created from a redundant farm building by the Bond family and it is now run by Allison Bond with help from family members and friends.

We offer a warm welcome to all our guests and are proud of our reputation for excellent hospitality, great farmhouse food and peaceful rural location.

The studio and grounds are now available for hire for meetings, and small gatherings. We also value and enjoy being part of the thriving community here in St Osyth and as such are happy to welcome local groups and organisations here at special rates on occasions.

✓ The Studio was converted from a redundant farm building in 2001.
✓ It is deceptively spacious with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
✓ Tea and coffee, including decaf and herbal options, are on tap all day.
✓ We are wheelchair friendly
✓ There is plenty of off-road car parking
✓ The Studio looks out on to meadows and paddocks - there is always plenty of wildlife to enjoy.
✓We have a new Pantry with plenty of tables and seating where we servce lunches and enjoy views across the meadows.
✓ Home-cooked food forms an important part of the day as all courses include lunch and homemade cake in the afternoon with tea and coffee etc on tap during the day. (Included in the price)
✓ Our simple farmhouse meals are served from the Pantry and you can sit in there to eat, or outside under our covered area depending on the weather.
✓ We provide a single choice of main meal, plus a vegetarian option, and try to cater for most dietary needs within that remit, provided you inform us well in advance. However, if your needs are complex, or you have severe allergies I'm afraid we will ask you to bring your own food to be on the safe side. We also reserve the right to ask people to bring their own food if we find we have multiple diets to cater for on one course.
✓ Our kitchen is inspected regularly and we have a 5* hygiene rating from the council.
✓ We have a wide range of one and two day courses covering all media.
✓ We employ many professional, very experienced and popular tutors from all over the country, each with a different teaching style but all experts in their field
✓ There is something for everyone, from beginners to the more experienced painter or crafter who wants to try something different.
✓ We have a maximum of twelve people on each course.
✓ Most courses run from 10am until 4.30pm unless otherwise stated.
✓ Should an advertised tutor have to pull out of a course we will always endeavour to find an appropriate substitute. We will make every effort to contact those booked on the course so they can decide whether or not they wish to remain on that course or pull out with a full refund.
✓ Most people arrive by car and we have parking adjacent to the studio.
✓ The car park surface is loose and slightly uneven.
✓ The doors to the studio are low threshold and we have wide doorways suitable for wheelchairs. The studio is on one level.
✓ The inside toilet has a frame available for disabled users and we have another seat frame we can put in place if required so please do ask. There is a second toilet outside but it has a step up into it.
✓ Lunches are served from the Pantry - this is all on one level, close to the studio, with a small incline to it from the gravel car park.
